Dear Business Partners,
As you may already be aware, we are mourning the death of our father and Senior Managing Director Paul Lütkenhaus.
He led HIMMEL® technologies with his distinct talent for innovation and caring attitude towards others. With his unexpected death at the age of 73 we are losing a great personality, an empathetic boss, and unique human being.
Paul Lütkenhaus was born in Datteln and grew up in Oer-Erkenschwick. It was around the same time that the family Neudecker & Jolitz founded a workshop in Gescher for repairing electric motors and transmissions. After completing his apprenticeship in electrical engineering, he took over management of the workshop in 1969 together with his first wife, Monika Lütkenhaus.
What followed was the successful rise of a small commercial workshop into the successful group of companies we know today. HIMMEL® technologies can now claim with pride to be great advertisement for Gescher as a place to do business. Paul Lütkenhaus’s openness, his special feel for market opportunities and a knack for negotiating meant that the company was able to grow organically and acquire several other companies.
No matter whether in his capacity as a property manager, considerate boss, honorary fire chief of the Oer-Erkenschwick fire service or in his private life – Paul Lütkenhaus was always welcome wherever he went due to his humorous, larger-than-life, decisive and never resentful character.
Whilst it may not be possible to truly fill the boots of this competent business man and human being, you can rest assured than his life’s work remains in good hands. Since 2018, his daughter, qualified industrial engineer Nina Lütkenhaus, has been in the position of managing partner. His second daughter, Petra Böing, as a qualified business administrator, professionally operates the areas of business communication and marketing. Both are actively supported by a reliable and well-oiled team of managing partners and division heads as well as their entire staff of HIMMEL® technologies.
We are certain that this committed team will continue the success of their esteemed predecessor and ensure the future growth of the group. You can therefore rest assured that everything will continue to operate as normal and all orders will be processed as planned.
We look forward to our continued cooperation.
Kind regards,
Nina Lütkenhaus, Petra Böing and the entire staff
